By any other name...

Usually, it takes effort to name a piece once it's finished. I'm happy to get one title that just clicks.

Today, I wrote a piece that has 6 beautiful potential titles:

"Silent Speech"

"Unheard of"

"Talking Trick"

"Throwing My Voice"

"Ventriloquy"

The piece (as it is today):

I do this neat little trick

Every once in a thoughtless while

I move my lips from their usual spot

Of holding up my smile

I let them take on different forms

As I do things with my tongue

Sound comes out

Words are formed

Yet seemingly heard by none

Silly me

What was I thinking

Sometimes I forget

I’m meant to be shrinking
